Dr. Rick Boone, Ph.D.
Embedded Behavioral Health Clinician
Dr. Boone is a seasoned psychologist who has worked in both the public and private sectors of behavioral health for several decades. Currently, he is a licensed psychologist in Virginia and North Carolina (as well as several other states) and specializes in military psychology and the assessment and treatment of behaviorally challenged servicemembers, veterans, and first responders.
As a military psychologist he served in both the Navy and Army and was deployed to theaters of war on three occasions with the U.S. Army and the Department of Defense. As an Army psychologist he twice led combat operational stress control teams in Iraq. He served in Afghanistan as a social scientist attached to Army brigade combat teams.
Richard received his BA in Psychology from Ohio University and his MA and Ph.D. from Biola University. His psychology internship was completed at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD.
