Michael Stutts, Ph.D.

Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Stutts is a Clinical Psychologist licensed for nearly 40 years. He was awarded Professor Emeritus in 2018 after serving 33 years on the faculty of Eastern Virginia Medical School in both Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. During his academic career, Dr. Stutts served as Vice-Chair of his department, led the EVMS Neuropsychology Program, and directed a nationally accredited doctoral training program in clinical psychology. In addition, he served as President of the Virginia Academy of Clinical Psychologists (VACP) and in leadership positions on several Virginia health regulatory boards. More recently, Dr. Stutts has provided numerous suitability evaluations as a contractor within the federal intelligence community. Dr. Stutts is a Fellow of VACP and the National Academy of Neuropsychology (NAN). 

Dr. Stutts holds a BS in Psychology from the University of Maryland-College Park and an MA and PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Louisville. He completed  clinical psychology internship training at the University of Virginia School of Medicine and a fellowship in clinical neuropsychology and rehabilitation at Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University.
